Soar With Flying Colors

I know he can make it!
Before I started my one-week election-related job in Sir Gus Tambunting's headquarters, I dun have any idea of who this guy is neither know anything about him. I know this may sounds funny but I dun even know that he was at the moment one of the councilors of Parañaque City. Maybe it is because I've never grown in this city. I dun even have a plan of voting him when election comes.
But my one-week election-related job changes everything. I become a loyal supporter of Gus even though he did nothing for me other than giving me a one-week job and giving us (me and the other night-shifting employee) a midnight snack almost every night in just one week. It's not about buying my loyalty with just one zest-o and a couple of pandesal. It's the thought that always counts as what they say. His wife-Ma'am Joy Tambunting seems to be so nice too even though I heard a lot of bad rumors about her. Dedication of a wife of a would-be vice-mayor is what you can always see in her face.
Am I promoting this soon to be vice-mayor of Parañaque City?
Nope!
As we all know that election day has passed already. Instead, I'm just giving you an idea of someone you voted last election (in case you dun know.) Or should I say. . .
"someone you didn't voted?"
The point of promoting this guy if that's what you think is kinda useless since I am not working with him anymore cause my election-related job lasted only a week. :P So, this is just a plain idea; an opinion. Maybe what's in my mind right now is just the same as what the majority of the Paraqueños have too and that makes him soar with flying colors.
Up to now there are still people who couldn't stop themselves from saying negative things about Gus. But what's the use of it when the Paraqueños had spoken already? Election 2007 was I think a very huge success to Gus for he left his vice-mayoral opponent eating dust in terms of number of votes.
For now, there is nothing more to think about but to wait for our new Vice-Mayor Gus Tambunting to do what he promised and planned in our city.
The people have started to speak in hushed tones. . . speaking of the city's coming changes.
. . . the coming of Gus has arrived.
